The Sciton laser resurfaces the skin, to reveal a smoother and even texture. It will lessen the appearance of acne scars, even those deep within the skin, by stimulating a remodeling of the collagen in the dermal layer of the skin. Depending on the depth of the scars being treatment, anywhere from 1 to 5 treatments may be necessary.

• Alpha Hyrdoxy Acid or AHA: Light peels and are some of the easiest and safest to use, which are derived from fruit and milk sugars. They will reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles, reduce uneven skin tone, smooth rough skin, treat dryness and improve sun damage, improves mild to moderate acne. The results vary depending on the chemical used. Usually 5-6 treatments are necessary to achieve desired results. Examples include: Glycolic, Lactic, Mandelic, Malic, Tartaric and Citric Acid.
• Beta Hydroxy Acid or BHA: There’s only one, Salicylic Acid. Great exfoliant, penetrates deeper into the pore, but can be less irritating. Good for congested pores, acne, wrinkles, pigmentation issues and photodamage.
• Trichloroacetic Acid or TCA: These are medium depth peels. They are more intense and can feel more uncomfortable during the actual process, but deliver better results with fewer treatments. Used for fine lines, pigmentation issues and superficial blemishes. Safe on darker skin types.
• Retinoic Acid: Derived from denatured Vitamin A and is a deeper peel, thus requiring a longer recovery time. It greatly reduces the appearance of wrinkles, scars and pigmentation issues. A less concentrated solution of retinoic acid may be applied after other peels to enhance their effects.

PCA Peels Enhanced Jessner's Treatments
These innovative and proven light-to-medium depth peel formulas effectively exfoliate with blends of lactic, citric and salicylic acids and resorcinol, while bleaching and inhibiting pigment production with kojic acid and hydroquinone (where indicated). These peels help repair and reduce breakouts, control oil, soften lines and provide a more even, smoother skin texture.

TCA Peels
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are often thought of as very aggressive and producing substantial discomfort. PCA Professional™ TCA peels are very different from the standard.
